My Art Post

Okay Guys---Here it is, my little art show. Keep in mind, that these are just scanned or photoed pics of my art, not the real, much better thing.

This is Cherubim. My friend Loran asked if I could draw the image from Ez. 10, so I did. It took me a few weeks, cuz I didnt really work on it that much. But now it is finished, and will go to its owner prolly tomorrow, when I see him, up in Tahoe.

This is Brody Dalle, lead singer of the Distillers. I really like this band, that it why I decided to try and draw her. She is still a work in progress. I took on Cherubim instead of finishing her. But I will soon. As you can see, she wasnt small enough to fit in my scanner...but here is the orginal pic that I was using as my example....

Okay, next we have...

Carnage. Okay, here is the story on this. I love drawing muscles and veins. I dunno, but I get a thrill outta it. So, one day, I was online, and asked my friend David if he wanted me to draw him a pic. He said sure, but didnt know how much I could handle and didnt know what to tell me to draw. SO i just thew out...."Whats you favorite villin or superhero?" He responded with carnage. So I drew this for him. It is prolly my favorite out of my drawings, and I wish I had never given it away. Then my friend Chris asked me to draw him a pic of venom. So, because I couldnt find any satisfactory pics of Venom, I decided to use my layout for Carnage, and just changed things up a bit. So I pretty much drew to of these babies.

This was my first actual pic I drew with pen and ink, that was worth keeping. I love X-men, and all the characters. In fact, Storm is my favorite action hero. And I always loved Wolverine. So here this one is. And I drew this one about a year ago, but just gave it away a month or so ago, to Travis.

So this is an older drawing of mine. I drew it a couple years ago. Its a portrait of my brother Teddy. It was my first actual portrait. Here is what Teddy Looks like today...

...see a resemblence? haha sorry for all the pics of Teddy, all the ones I had are just too cute. I love that boy.

Okay, so that is it for now. I will be leaving for Tahoe today...WOO HOO!
Until Next time...

Somebody's got the Sniffles....

>>Me! Sleeping...cuz Im sick...pooi!<<

Hey Guys. So sorry Ive been a slacker on posting. But Ill kinda give you an update on my life these days.

First off, last week was Vacation Bible School. It turned out really well. I had the first room on Monday, and I was glad I got it over on the beginning of the week. My room was the family and home of Joseph. We did alittle act of Jacob giving Joseph the coat of many colors, and how his brothers became jealous. We tried showing the kids not to show favoritism, and not to be a tattletale, and not to think you are better than everyone else. I mean, we didnt directly say it, but we just kinda made some points of it. But, Monday we had the Home of Joseph..my room, Tuesday- Joseph thrown in the pit ( this room would have to be the best, just cuz the kids were really involved, and they got angry at the brothers, haha and started throwing crackers at the brothers and trying to push them into the pit. Wednesday- Potiphers Household ( Lydia did an awesome job at trying to "marry" Joseph. It was funny) Thursday- The Jail, Friday- The Egyption Palace ( I got to be a guard on this day.) But any ways, it was really fun, we had puppet shows, classrooms, movie theater(where the kids watched Joseph- King of Dreams, art, games, and snack.

Second, I have been fixing our sprinklers all week. After I finally set up the programs to automatically put the drippers on, the power decides to go off TWICE!! So i had to reprogram everything, and check everything. However, it was that bad. We also finally sold our puppy who had been chewing up the sprinklers...thank goodness.

Third, I saw CHarlie and The Chocolate Factory. It was really good. I love Johnny Depp as Willy. And I love Charlie, he is the cutest. But ya, I dont wanna give much away...just go and see it.

Fourth, We have been working on our play for Tahoe next week. We are performing the play, plus a swing dance next week. So weve been cramming to make costumes, have all the props, making sure we have everything in order. We had to teach nick our bandstand dance, because Justin couldnt perform it. So that was crazy.

Fifth, We have been packing and getting everything ready to go camping next week. I havent packed yet, but Ive helped pack others stuff. I also went shopping for some clothes. Btw, at JcPennys, they have napoleon Dynamite shirts! I got one that says, " Vote for Pedro and Your Wildest Dreams will come true!"

Sixth....this is the last. I finally finished my Cherubim pic! If u didnt know about this pic, lemme bring you up to speed. One of my best friends Loran, asked me to draw him a pic of the Cherubim in Ez. 10. I couldnt do the whole body tho, cuz my pic was already too big. But its finally done. And now im working on Darth Vader for Zach!

Okay, well then, other than that, life has been hot. I cant sleep in my bed ne more, its too hot, I have to sleep in our hallway. haha. But I guess being sick doesnt really help either. But, Ill be better soon, I feel it drifting... So I will try and post before I leave for Tahoe on Saturday.

Herbal Essence = Bad for your hair!

Call me crazy, but u guys....herbal essesence is not good for your hair. Whoever is using this evil shampoo needs to stop, and start using something else like VO5 , like me. So before you start questioning why I have come to this conclusion, let me first start you off with a question. Why do you use Herbal Essence? Is it because of its yummy smell? well VO5 has marvelous smells and catchy scent names like, Free Me Freesia , Tickle Tangerine, or Blushing Apple.

Okay so let me now tell you why this shampoo is evil. It makes your hair fall out! Plain and simple right there! I always loved this shampoo, cuz of its smell, before i started "using" it. However, my sis Katie was telling me how when she started using it her hair started falling out. I didnt believe her, of course, cuz I thought this stuff was so good. Then a couple weeks later, one of my friends was telling me how lately her hair had been falling out a ton, because of this shampoo. So , i decided to check it out myself. I used the shampoo for a week, when the balding started to kick in. Way more hair than usual was falling out. My hair was being thinned! it was terrible. So i stopped using it. And my hair is back to normal.

I try and warn everyone i can about this awful product, that is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. You dont have to believe me, but the more people I talk to about it, the more my point seems to be true. But anyways...thats all the rambling for today.

Btw- the Wicker Park soundtrack is SOOOOOO GOOOD!

Marriage into Christ

A good friend of mine got baptized Sunday evening. He was raised episcapalion (sp?) with his parents, however, he started searching out a new faith a couple months ago. He went to a working campaign with our church two weeks ago, and was on fire for the Lord. Then he started questioning his purpose in life, and realized he needed a Savior. So he studied what he needed to do, and got baptized, turning his life over into God's hands. However, his father wasn't too pleased with his decision. He was discouraged, however, uplifted by the fact that he had many supporters outside his family, who knew what he did was right.

I can understand how a father or parent in any matter, would be confused about a situation like this, if they didnt believe the same thing. I mean, if my kid starting hanging out with a group of people I didnt know, and a group of people who believe a whole different thing than I did, i would be concerned.

I told my mom about the whole thingy, and she said that she could understand that also. However, she supports my friend in his decision, cuz he believes what we believe in. She also said that some people believe that baptism is a cult. But, this is what I compare baptism too. A wedding....a ceremony. Imagine that you love someone so much! You know he loves you also. You know you love him, you'd die for him. You want to commit your entire life for him, serving him in everyway possible. Now, you have a choice to know all of that, a just continue carrying it throughout life, without a wedding or making any serious commitment to him. Or, you can get married, and have a wedding. It doesnt matter how big the wedding is, what colors you used, how good the food was, all that matters is the fact that you are showing your commitment to that person, by having a wedding. You arent only showing it to the one you love, but also to those who attend. You are showing them, that you are promising to forever take care of this person, and love him. At your wedding, you exchange vows, give eachother rings, and then are pronounced man and wife. From that point on, you have a mission, that sometimes may seem impossible, but because of your love, you'll do it any ways. You wear that ring, in remembrance of your promise, and in rembrance of that person, and all the things you have been through together.
With that image, imagine that you and Jesus are getting married. Your baptism is the wedding. You are showing Jesus that you are going to be buried with him, and then raised, walking in a new life, together with him. You are going to commit your life to him, until death do you part. After you make your promises to Jesus, knowing that you are forever his, you get baptized, showing that you are now a Christian. You are now clothed in Christ. As a symbol for your comittment that you made, and all the things Jesus did for you, you take the communion, aka, the ring. You take it as much as possible, with the right mindset. You live your life for him from that moment on. At first things may seem so great, and easy, but eventually, things get old, your flame isnt as big. But that is for you to work on. Keep pressing on, even if your marriage with Christ seems iffy. Cuz he loves you, and you love him, thus shown through your baptism, which he commanded you to do.

Well, that was just on my mind. I had to get it out. I hope it made sense.
